Course Overview

Portrait photography is about connection as much as technique. This course teaches both.

You will learn how to communicate with subjects, choose flattering light, guide posing and build a consistent portrait style. Each workshop includes a model session so you can practise direction in real time.

We also cover environmental portraiture, headshot fundamentals and an introduction to skin-tone editing using industry-standard software.

What You Will Learn

Subject Direction

Give clear, supportive guidance that helps subjects relax and express genuine emotion.

Natural Light Mastery

Use window light, open shade, golden hour and overcast conditions to flatter skin and eyes.

Composition for Faces

Apply framing, headroom and background control to keep attention on the subject.

Retouching Basics

Edit skin tones, remove distractions and create a polished final image without over-processing.
